Every †rump Distraction Leads Back to One Thing, the Cover Up

Protest orchestrated by the British group, Led By Donkeys/Aaron Schwartz/Reuters
Protest orchestrated by the British group, Led By Donkeys/Aaron Schwartz/Reuters

A note before you read: This article deals with serious allegations of rape and child sexual abuse against the sitting President of the United States. Everything documented here comes from sworn ƒBI testimony, federal court filings, civil jury verdicts, congressional investigations, and reporting by NPR, PBS NewsHour, Truthout, the Miami Herald, Al Jazeera, and Courthouse News Service. These are not rumors. They are matters of public legal record, much of which has been actively suppressed by the very Depårtment of Justiçe that †rump controls.

We believe survivors.

Start Here: Ask One Question About Everything †rump Does

Every time Donold †rump does something that shocks you — every war, every tariff, every firing, every threat, every constitutional crisis, every attack on a journalist, every deportation of a U.S. citizen, every manufactured emergency — ask one question before you react:

What is this covering up?

Because the answer, over and over again, is the same: the documented, legally verified, ƒBI-investigated, court-adjudicated record of Donold †rump as an alleged pedophile and rapist, and the millions of federal files connecting him to one of the most extensive child sex trafficking operations in American history.

†rump is not chaotic. He is not simply reckless or impulsive. He is a man with something specific and devastating to hide, who has spent his entire presidency manufacturing noise loud enough to drown out the one story that could end him. And he has placed his own loyalists in control of every institution — the DØJ, the ƒBI, the Attorney General's office, the oversight committees — that could expose him.

This is the article that connects the dots. Read it. Share it. Do not let them change the subject.

What the Files Contain and Why †rump Is Terrified of Them

In 2025, Congress passed the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act, mandating the full release of all unclassified DØJ records related to Jeffrey Epstein. The law was explicit: "No record shall be withheld, delayed, or redacted on the basis of embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity, including to any government official, public figure, or foreign dignitary."

†rump signed the bill because he had no choice. Public pressure was overwhelming.

Then his regime systematically violated it.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) was granted access to the unredacted files in February 2026. He searched †rump's name. It appeared more than one million times. The public release had contained approximately 38,000 mentions of †rump, his wife, or Mar-a-Lago. That means †rump's DØJ redacted more than 96% of all references to †rump from the files the American public was allowed to see, in direct violation of the law †rump himself signed.

Raskin also found a 2009 email exchange between Epstein and Maxwell proving †rump lied about banning Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. The email quotes †rump directly: "No, Jeffrey Epstein was not a member of Mar-a-Lago, but he was a guest at Mar-a-Lago, and no, we never asked him to leave."

†rump had told you he banned Epstein. The files prove he didn't. And rather than release those files, his regime hid 96% of them.

Raskin called it plainly: "This is what a cover-up looks like."

A YouGov poll found 53% of Americans believe †rump is trying to cover up Epstein's crimes, and 50% believe †rump was personally involved in those crimes.

They are right to believe it. Here is the documented evidence of what he is covering up and how.

The Evidence: Part One, A 13-Year-Old Girl and Four ƒBI Interviews

NPR's landmark February 2026 investigation revealed that †rump's DØJ had secretly removed and withheld dozens of pages of ƒBI files documenting a woman who told federal investigators she was sexually abused by †rump when she was between 13 and 15 years old.

The woman, a South Carolina native identified only as Jane Doe, told the ƒBI that around 1983, Jeffrey Epstein introduced her to †rump. According to ƒBI summaries the DØJ released only after NPR forced their hand, †rump said to her "Let me teach you how little girls are supposed to be," unzipped his pants, and forced her head down to his exposed penis. She bit him. He punched her in the head and kicked her out. She told investigators she bit him because he "disgusted" her.

The ƒBI did not dismiss this. They interviewed her four separate times. The lead was sent to the ƒBI's Washington field office, reserved for allegations deemed credible enough to pursue. It was included in an internal DØJ PowerPoint presentation on "prominent names" in the Epstein investigation. The ƒBI does not interview someone four times about nothing.

During her fourth interview, when asked whether she felt comfortable detailing her contacts with †rump, she reportedly asked "what the point would be of providing the information at this point in her life when there was a strong possibility nothing could be done about it."

She asked that in 2019. Today, the man she accused controls the ƒBI, the DØJ, and the Attorney General. 37 pages of records related to her interviews remain missing from the public database — catalogued by the DØJ, but hidden. A separate document references a limousine driver who told the ƒBI about a "very concerning" 1995 phone call in which †rump referenced "Epstein" and "abusing some girl."

House Oversight Committee Democrats stated the DØJ's withholding "could amount to a crime."

But who investigates that crime? The DØJ that †rump controls. Do you see how this works?

The Evidence: Part Two, A Second 13-Year-Old

The girl the ƒBI interviewed four times is not the only child who has accused †rump.

In 2016, a woman filing as "Jane Doe," also identified as "Katie Johnson," filed a federal lawsuit alleging that in 1994, when she was 13 years old, she was lured to parties hosted by Epstein at his Manhattan residence, where †rump tied her to a bed, forcibly raped her, struck her across the face with an open hand, and threatened to kill her if she spoke.

A witness, "Tiffany Doe," signed a sworn declaration under penalty of perjury stating she had personally witnessed four sexual encounters in which Jane Doe was forced to have sex with †rump. She stated she understood her life and her family's lives were "now in grave danger" for coming forward.

Jane Doe was scheduled to hold a press conference six days before the 2016 election. She canceled after her attorney reported multiple death threats. The case was withdrawn. PBS NewsHour confirmed the lawsuit's authenticity as public court record. Jane Doe has never been heard from publicly again.

Ask yourself: who would have the motive, and the power, to make a woman and her accusations disappear?

The Evidence: Part Three, The Civil Court Verdict

While all of this was being buried, a separate federal jury reached its own conclusion.

In May 2023, twelve American jurors found Donold †rump liable for sexual battery and defamation in the lawsuit brought by writer E. Jean Carroll. The jury awarded her $5 million. †rump did not testify. His team called no witnesses.

Carroll testified that †rump followed her into a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman and forcibly sexually assaulted her. Two friends confirmed she had told them at the time. Two other women testified they had been separately assaulted by †rump in similar circumstances, demonstrating a pattern of predatory behavior.

Federal Judge Lewis Kaplan wrote in his ruling: "The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was 'raped' within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump 'raped' her as many people commonly understand the word 'rape.' Indeed, as the evidence at trial makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that."

The Second Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the verdict in December 2024. †rump owes Carroll $88.3 million. The verdict stands. This is not an allegation. This is a legal finding by a jury of his peers.

Now Connect Every Distraction Back to the Cover-Up

Here is the central truth of the †rump era: every major distraction, every manufactured crisis, every attack on an institution traces directly back to the Epstein files, and to †rump's desperate need to keep you from reading them.

The War on Iran, Launched When the Epstein Files Became Dangerous

The timeline is not subtle. NPR's bombshell investigation was published February 24, 2026. Rep. Raskin's million-mentions revelation had come on February 10. Senator Whitehouse's viral 48-minute Senate floor speech exposing the †rump-Epstein-Russia triangle was scheduled for March 10. The Epstein story was the biggest story in America.

On February 28, 2026, four days after NPR's investigation, the United States and Israel launched major combat operations against Iran.

As confirmed by an analyst interviewed by Al Jazeera: "If you look at searches on Google for the Epstein files, they've plummeted since this started. So at least temporarily, it's succeeding. It's taking up Congress' time and it's taking up the media's time."

The war killed thousands of civilians including nearly 200 Iranian schoolgirls. It killed U.S. service members. It had no congressional authorization and no exit strategy. Over 100 international law experts called it a clear violation of international law. And it achieved its primary objective: it buried the Epstein files under a wall of war coverage.

†rump didn't start a war because of Iran. He started a war because of Epstein.

The Invasion of Venezuela, Same Playbook, Earlier Chapter

Before Iran, there was Venezuela. On January 3, 2026 — as Epstein file pressure mounted — U.S. special operations forces invaded Venezuela and seized President Maduro. The operation dominated global headlines for weeks. The Epstein files, which had been generating enormous bipartisan pressure, were buried under Venezuela coverage.

The Congressional Research Service noted that experts disputed the legal and factual justifications for the intervention. The timing was not coincidental.

The Attack on the Media, Because It Was Breaking the Epstein Stories

†rump's war on the press is not about fake news. It is about specific news, the news that is most damaging to him.

NPR's investigation found that the DØJ withheld files documenting child sexual abuse allegations against †rump. The Miami Herald's Julie K. Brown built the evidentiary foundation that brought down the entire Epstein network. PBS NewsHour gave Brown a national platform to explain what was being hidden. These are the outlets †rump has targeted most aggressively — revoking press credentials, threatening lawsuits, banning them from the White House.

He is not attacking the media because they lie. He is attacking the media because they are telling the truth about what is in the Epstein files. Every press credential revoked, every lawsuit threatened, every journalist targeted is a direct attempt to silence the people who are closest to exposing him.

The Maxwell Pardon: The Most Transparent Coverup of All

And then there is the question that answers itself.

Why is Donold †rump entertaining a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell?

Rep. James Comer, the Republican chairman of the very committee investigating Epstein, told Politico that Maxwell is "honestly, other than Epstein, the worst person in this whole investigation." His own words. And yet †rump has not ruled out her pardon. His White House declined to answer directly whether he is considering it. His Attorney General, the same one suppressing the ƒBI files about †rump, has been engaged in conversations with Maxwell's attorneys.

Think about that. The man who controls whether Maxwell goes free is the same man Maxwell has information about. The woman who recruited, groomed, and delivered children to Epstein's network — and to the men in Epstein's orbit — knows exactly what happened at those parties. She knows who was there. She knows what they did. She knows what †rump did.

†rump is not considering a Maxwell pardon because he believes in justice. He is considering it because Maxwell's silence, purchased with her freedom, is worth infinitely more to him than any testimony she could provide.

A Maxwell pardon would not be an act of clemency. It would be the final act of the cover-up. It would bury, permanently, the testimony of the one person still alive who was at the center of Epstein's operation and could speak to what she witnessed.

As we have documented in our petition: this is not a separate issue from the Epstein files. The Maxwell pardon is the Epstein coverup, in its most naked form.

The Weaponization of DØJ and ƒBI: Control the Investigators, Control the Investigation

†rump placed ƒBI Director Kash Patel, who vowed to use the ƒBI to target †rump's enemies, in charge of the agency investigating Epstein. Patel has sidelined the Epstein investigation and fired agents who worked on †rump-related cases.

Deputy AG Todd Blanche, †rump's former personal criminal defense attorney, now supervises any DØJ action touching †rump personally. He oversees the Epstein file releases. He is the fox guarding the henhouse, hired specifically because †rump needed a fox.

Former AG Pam Bondi told Fox News an Epstein client list was "on her desk" — then denied it existed. She oversaw the suppression of ƒBI interview transcripts documenting child abuse allegations against †rump. She doxxed dozens of Epstein survivors by exposing their identities in document releases. And the DØJ was caught spying on Members of Congress while they reviewed unredacted Epstein files, prompting calls for her resignation.

Senator Whitehouse sent Bondi and Patel a formal letter warning that continued suppression of records was "subject to criminal prosecution." The DØJ Inspector General has now opened a probe into whether the regime complied with the Transparency Act.

Last Night's Shooting, Already Being Exploited

And then there is what happened last night, April 25-26, 2026, which fits the pattern so perfectly it almost defies belief.

A gunman opened fire outside the White House Correspondents' Dinner at the Washington Hilton. A Secret Service officer was struck in his bulletproof vest and is expected to survive. †rump was evacuated. The alleged shooter, Cole Allen, sent an alleged manifesto to his family beforehand citing the administration's documented abuses — the Iran war, IÇE atrocities, Gaza, and the Epstein cover-up — as his stated motivation. We condemn this violence unequivocally. It is wrong. It is counterproductive. It is not the answer.

But watch what †rump did with it. Watch how fast.

Less than an hour after the shooting, †rump was at a White House press conference — barely mentioning the injured officer, not talking about security failures, not admitting to the political climate his own rhetoric has created. He was plugging his $400 million White House ballroom. "This is why we have to have all of the attributes of what we're planning at the White House," he said. "We need the ballroom."

Independent media outlet Crooks and Liars noted that the press was already calling it the "Epstein Ballroom" because †rump's $400 million personal ballroom project, funded by undisclosed billionaire donations including defense contractors who received $191 billion in government contracts, is itself a corruption and self-enrichment scheme that reeks of the same pay-to-play dynamics that characterized Epstein's world.

As Common Dreams reported, two-thirds of the ballroom's corporate donors, 16 out of 24, have entered into government contracts. †rump is literally demolishing historic public property to build himself a $400 million personal venue funded by corporations that need his favor. And now he is using a shooting to kill the lawsuit that was blocking it.

The morning after the shooting, Acting AG Todd Blanche — †rump's former personal attorney, the man overseeing the Epstein file releases — sent a letter to the National Trust for Historic Preservation's attorneys threatening to dismiss their lawsuit and giving them until 9:00 AM Monday to voluntarily drop it. The letter, signed by Assistant AG Brett Shumate, stated: "Put simply, your lawsuit puts the lives of the President, his family, and his staff at grave risk." As AP reported, Blanche posted it to X with a simple message: "It's time to build the ballroom."

The same man suppressing the Epstein files. The same man who was †rump's personal criminal defense attorney. Using a shooting, within hours of it happening, to kill a legitimate preservation lawsuit and advance †rump's personal $400 million enrichment project.

As Daily Kos observed: "We've still never seen his healthcare plan, his taxes, or the rest of the Epstein files. So don't hold your breath, America."

And then, in a moment that crystallized everything, †rump sat down with CBS News' Norah O'Donnell for a 60 Minutes interview. O'Donnell quoted the alleged manifesto, which referenced "a pedophile, rapist, and traitor." The manifesto did not name †rump by name.

†rump immediately assumed it was about him.

"I'm not a rapist. I didn't rape anybody. I'm not a pedophile," he said unprompted, explosive, defensive. "I was totally exonerated."

He was not asked if the manifesto referred to him. He simply knew. And he denied it with the specific language — pedophile, rapist — of a man who has heard those words applied to himself before and cannot stop himself from responding to them.

That is not the reaction of an innocent man. That is the reaction of a man who knows exactly what is in the Epstein files, knows exactly what the ƒBI interview transcripts say, knows exactly what a million-plus references to his name in unredacted federal documents contain — and is terrified of every microphone, every question, and every journalist who gets close enough to ask.

Never let a crisis go to waste. That is the †rump doctrine. And tonight, as always, every crisis leads back to the same place: the Epstein files, the survivors, and the truth that Donold †rump will wage war, build ballrooms, fire investigators, silence journalists, and pardon child traffickers to keep buried.

Senator Whitehouse Said It Out Loud on the Senate Floor

On March 10, 2026, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, a former U.S. Attorney, delivered a 48-minute Senate floor speech viewed more than 2.2 million times, documenting the connections between †rump, Epstein, and Russia, citing dozens of news articles spanning decades and emails released under the Transparency Act.

Whitehouse noted that when asked about the Epstein files, †rump's immediate response was: "It's just a Russia, Russia, Russia hoax." Whitehouse observed: "The word he uses for when something is true. But the most telling part is that †rump's mind, asked about Epstein, immediately went to Russia."

He was right. And it is telling for the same reason everything in this article is telling: †rump does not react this way to things that do not threaten him. He calls things "hoaxes" when they are real. He attacks the people closest to exposing him. He pardons the people who could expose him. He starts wars when the coverage gets too close.

The Gerrymandering War — Rigging Elections to Control the Investigators

Here is a question that does not get asked enough: why would a sitting president launch an unprecedented nationwide gerrymandering campaign in the middle of a decade, pressuring state after state to redraw congressional maps — at the cost of overriding voters, threatening state legislators, and ordering what federal courts have called likely illegal racial gerrymanders?

The answer, as with everything, leads back to Epstein.

As NPR reported explicitly: "If Democrats take control of the chamber, they could stymie the president's legislative agenda and launch investigations of his administration." That is the whole game. Control the House. Control the committees. Control who can subpoena the Epstein files. Control who can compel testimony. Control who can impeach.

†rump told reporters directly: "We are entitled to five more seats" in Texas, as if congressional districts are personal property of the president. He pressured Texas, North Carolina, Missouri, Florida, and others to redraw maps at his personal demand. The Center for American Progress documented that this effort directly correlates with his record-low approval ratings, meaning the worse his poll numbers get, the harder he pushes to rig the maps. Because he knows what happens if he loses the House: the Epstein investigation gets real subpoena power, real oversight hearings, real consequences.

Democracy Docket confirmed that in Texas, when Democratic state legislators fled to Illinois to block the gerrymander vote, Republicans threatened them with arrest and urged law enforcement to "hunt" them down. In North Carolina, the new map, which federal courts noted came at "the expense of Black voters," could deliver an 11-3 Republican congressional delegation in a state that elected a 7-7 delegation as recently as 2022. If you're in Missouri, know that †rump pressured lawmakers into a hasty redraw at the expense of minority voters.

The Fulcrum documented that †rump also issued an executive order asserting presidential power to decertify voting machines and limit mail-in ballots, an order courts have repeatedly blocked. The DØJ has simultaneously been sowing doubt about voter rolls, filing lawsuits, and gaslighting voters about election integrity — while the same DOJ suppresses the Epstein files.

Think about what this means in plain terms: †rump is simultaneously suppressing the Epstein files with one hand and rigging the elections that would determine who gets to investigate those files with the other. The gerrymandering is not a separate political issue. It is a direct extension of the Epstein coverup. Every Republican congressional seat manufactured through an illegal gerrymander is one more vote to keep the committee chairmanships that are protecting †rump. Every Democratic challenger blocked by a rigged map is one fewer investigator who could subpoena the million-plus references to †rump in the unredacted files.

As The Fulcrum noted, †rump told his supporters in 2024: "In four years, you don't have to vote again. We'll have it fixed so good, you're not gonna have to vote." He wasn't joking. He wasn't being hyperbolic. He was describing a plan — and the Epstein files are the reason he needs to execute it.

The good news: it is not working as planned. Democracy Docket confirmed that Virginia voters just delivered a major blow to †rump's gerrymandering scheme, approving a redistricting referendum despite everything the regime threw at them. Democrats in California, Virginia, and elsewhere are fighting back. The 2026 midterms remain genuinely competitive — which means your vote, your organizing, and your pressure on Congress matters more than ever.

Because if Democrats retake the House in 2026, the Epstein files will no longer be protected by the men †rump appointed to hide them.

That is exactly what he is trying to prevent. And now you know why.

The Conclusion: †rump Is Not Covering Up for Epstein. He Is Covering Up for Himself.

Miami Herald investigative journalist Julie K. Brown, whose reporting helped bring down the Epstein network, put it this way: "The Justiçe Depårtment has never really done their job on this. The ƒBI and the Justiçe Depårtment never took these victims seriously. And it would have died if it wasn't for these victims who have mobilized and become a force for justice and for change."

Those survivors are still fighting. The files are still being hidden. The distractions are still being manufactured. The pardon for Maxwell is still being floated. The journalists who broke the story are still being targeted. The agents who investigated †rump are still being fired.

Every war. Every tariff crisis. Every attack on a journalist. Every firing. Every emergency. Every new outrage.

Ask the question. What is this covering up?

The answer has not changed. It will not change. Because the man at the center of this story is still in the White House — still controlling the DØJ, the ƒBI, the files, and the pardon power — and he will manufacture every crisis he can to make sure you never stop long enough to read what those files say about him.

We are stopping to read them. And we are not letting go.
